U.S. President Barack Obama attended to an Asian Pacific American Heritage Month celebration on 8th of May, in his speech he speaks highly to this ethnic and claiming that he is back home, This is the first time that he attended the Asian Pacific American Heritage Month celebration since he took office, some people have criticized that he was ignore the Asian Pacific before.
Obama praised that the Asian and Pacific Islander was "the one to help me become who I am today and help the United States to form today’s prosperous situation. He continued: “In these periods, we have gone through a tough time. It is just like a War in Wow, but finally, we have overcome all the difficulties.”
He also spoke highly of the Asian and Pacific Islander as the achievements of the "model minority", and also pointed out that many people ignore the challenges that this ethnic should face, including education, health, employment and other aspects are still have gaps, and even faced the threat of h crimes.
In his speech, Obama listed out what his has done for Asian Pacific American since he took office, including the reconstruction of the White House Asian and Pacific Islander program. The program aims to help Asian and Pacific Islander have more opportunities to get access to services and participation in federal programs.
The day of opening speech, Obama tried to narrow the relationship with the Asian and Pacific Islander,when he recalls his childhood years spent in Hawaii and Indonesia,said: "I am delighted to be here tonight,because all of you in my heart occupies a special place for me, come here, I feel a bit like back home
In the speech, he said "When I think about Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, I think about my family--my sister, Maya, my brother-in-law, Konrad, who's in the house somewhere.My nieces Suhaila and Savita, I miss the time when we play wow together.We raid together,we tank together, we fight the boss together,and we have a good time in world of warcraft.I really miss it,but now I have no time to play wow.I wish I can have a little to play the new expansion of wow - Mists of pandaria,what a pity!"
"And now I am prepared for the general election for President of the United States, it makes me feel just Like a War in Wow, I hope I can win this war, no matter it is the US presidential election war or the world of warcraft war, wish me good luck.”
